Cancellation Policy

Please read this cancellation policy before registering for a course.

Upon booking of a canoe course a 50% deposit of course cost is due to reserve your seat. Reserving a seat with deposit is only available before April 15.  After April 15 full course fees are required at time of booking.  Remainder 50% of course fees are due 30 days prior to your course.

If you need to cancel this is our policy in which we will work with your deposit or course fees.

  • 40 days prior to course 75% of deposit refunded.
  • 39-21 days prior to course no refund of deposit.
  • 20-0 days full fees are due no refund of fees.

Please let us know if you are not going to make it to a course and we may be able to fill the seat with another student as we often have a wait list.

We will accept a replacement for your seat if you find one and they are suitable for the scheduled canoe course. Your replacement can use your deposit. Only available up to 7 days before a course.

Date Changes available 10 days prior to start of course. (subject to availability) of when you are schedule to attend a course.

We  book our instructors well in  advance and once we have booked them we honour that commitment.  Organizing paddle courses involves lots of logistics with many moving parts. We have limited instructors and equipment.

Signing up for a course with Yukan canoe is a binding contract for services. You will required be sign a waiver to participate in all Yukan Canoe programs.

This Cancellation Policy is for our Regularly scheduled courses. It does not apply to custom courses or programs.  Custom programming will be by contract.
